We are holding auditions for the lead roles in the “Charlie and The Chocolate Factory” revue. These roles include: Willy Wonka, Charlie, Veruca, Mike, Violet, & Augustus (some names will be changed). We request students ages 8 and up to audition for these roles. A requirement of accepting a role will be: additional rehearsal time, additional costumes, very quick costume changes, and additional responsibility. Lead characters will still perform with their classes.
Please explain to your student that not everyone who auditions will receive a part. Roles will be based on experience, age, and height. Auditioning will be a great experience and will prepare students for Nutcracker auditions next year. Audition class will consist of a mini class and choreography.
Auditions will be held at the studio on December 18th from 6:15 to 7:15.
Ashley is so excited for this opportunity. She has had parts in three school productions and even played the angel of death in one of them! Even though she knows she may not be chosen she is always ready to audition. Btw she LOVED the nutcracker! Charlie and the chocolate factory is one of our favorite movies (johnny depp version) we've watched it at least a dozen times. Looking forward to the revue!

ReplyDeleteThat's great Linda! The Nutcracker was wonderful! The Richmond Ballet is amazing:) Loved being with the girls to watch it. Charlie and Chocolate Factory will be a dance revue so she should be prepared to dance (choreography will be taught in the audition). We are excited about auditions and the revue. It should be a great show!
