Note From Teachers

Note from the Teachers

All classes are beginning to learn choreography for the revue. Please make sure your student attends
all lessons until the recital. If students are absent, it is very hard to review and make formation changes.
Teachers cannot spend time reviewing parts when the class as a whole is ready to move forward. Please
ensure all efforts are made to attend class.

Students will be required to have pink and/or suntan tights for the revue. Please make plans to purchase these in advance. It is a good idea to purchase more than one pair more in case of rips or runs. Also, make sure your student has the required shoes for each class.

Cinderella - Richmond Ballet

Cinderella – Richmond Ballet – Field Trip

We would like to take a school trip to see the Cinderella performed by the Richmond Ballet. The date is February 15 at 7:00 p.m. Students will be required to have a chaperon and driver (family/friends are welcome to attend). Students may ride with another parent as long as we receive a note giving permission. We will meet at the Carpenter Center at 6:00 p.m. on February 15.

Tickets prices range from $30 to $50 (second dress circle or higher) depending on the number of students and how early we order tickets.

Please return the permission slip by January 17. Once we have this portion back, money will be due no later than January 30.

Viewing Party - Feb 7

Viewing Party – February 7 6:00 - 8:00

We will be holding a viewing party for all ages to watch the movie of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. All students are invited to attend. This will be a great way to have the students watch the
movie and become familiar with the story.  Please return the attached permission slip along with $3 for pizza,
snacks, and drinks by January 30. We hope all of the students can attend this team building activity!

December

We had a very busy December.  Parent Observation Week, Nutcracker at the Richmond Ballet, and even Santa stopped by:)

Christmas Parade - Whoville

We had a great time at the South Hill Christmas Parade.  Students dressed up and the performance group performed on the float.  It was a great time even in the cold weather:)  We were so happy for all of the support!

Special thanks to our sponsors: In Touch Therapy and A Mane Event.  Big thanks to our driver and Wings transportation for use of their flatbed.  And thanks to Brown's Garage for use of the warehouse for storage during the decorating process.  Thanks to all of the parents who generously donated their time to help decorate!!
