Flash Mob at Peebles

On Saturday April 27th, Botofogo's hosted a free flash mob event for the community.  This was to support National Dance Week.  We brought dance into the community in a fun and innovative way.  We enjoyed it so much!  We had a great group!  Everyone learned quickly and most importantly had fun.  The group rehearsed from 10 to 12 and performed the number at the Peebles department store.  There was such a great reaction that Botofogo's is planning to start a flash mob team!  Who knows where we will show up!?!?!

To celebrate National Dance Week, we will be having a FREE open flash mob class.  Bring your family and friends!!  We will be dancing to “Love Shack” (original choreography from the “Back to the 80’s Musical” performed at the Colonial). Rehearsal will be Saturday April 27^th from 10:00 to 12:00 at Botofogo’s Dance Studio and then we will go to our secret location to perform the flash mob at 12:30.  All ages are welcome!

Each camp will be 5 days (Tuesday through Saturday). Time will be 9:00 - 12:30.

Cost will be will $75 per session.

Glow in Dark Cast Party:) May 10th

There will be a cast party at the studio Friday May 10^th from 6:00 – 7:30.  Pizza and drinks will be provided.  Please bring your favorite snack to share.  There will be food, games, and fun.  Please wear your favorite neon or glow in the dark items

Revue Rehearsal Schedule - Week of Revue

ALL REHEARSALS ARE MANDATORY! 

 

Monday May 13^th: Studio

3/4 year old class = 5:30 – 6:00

5/6 year old class = 6:00 – 6:45

7/8 year old class = 6:45 – 7:30

9 and up class = 7:30 – 8:30

 

Tuesday May 14^th: Studio

3/4 year old class = 5:30 – 6:00

5/6 year old class = 6:00 – 6:45

7/8 year old class = 6:45 – 7:30

9 and up class = 7:30 – 8:30

 

Wednesday May 15^th: Studio

All groups must meet at studio at 5:30 – 7:30.  We will run through the entire show in order.  Expect to stay late if a class needs extra work.

 

Thursday May 16^th: Studio

All groups must meet at studio at 5:30 – 7:30.  We will run through the entire show in order.  Expect to stay late if a class needs extra work.

 

Friday May 17^th: Colonial – Dress Rehearsal

Meet at the Colonial at 5:00.  We will run through the entire show in full makeup, hair, and costumes.  Enter through the side alley through the door that says actor’s entrance.

 

Saturday May 18^th: Colonial – Revue

Meet at the Colonial at 5:00.  REVUE.  Don’t forget to smileJ sm ile and have fun!

Revue Tickets

Tickets will available to purchase April 23rd.  Tickets will be $5 each in advance or $7 at the door. Children under the age of 3 are free.   Each child will be given one “dresser pass” to help students change backstage.  Please wear this at all time.

Bun Making Class

We will be offering a bun making / revue 101 class at the studio lobby on April 30^th at 6:00 p.m. and May 1^st at 6:00 and 7:30.  Bun making will be demonstrated along with other tips to make the revue night a less stressful experience.  We want everyone to enjoy this time and watch your student enjoy dance on the stage.
